A rare double-sided porcelain enamel advertising sign from Osaka Asahi Shimbun, a predecessor of today's Asahi Shimbun.
Produced during the prewar to early Showa period, this sign was originally used by newspaper dealers and authorized distributors, and remains an important piece of Japanese media and advertising history.
Featuring Osaka Asahi Shimbun, Shukan Asahi, Asahi Camera, Asahi Graph, Asahi Sports, Kodomo Asahi, Eiga to Engei, Fujin and other historic Asahi publications, this sign offers a remarkable all-in-one showcase of Japan's prewar Asahi media network.
The iconic red Asahi sunburst emblem remains prominently displayed on both sides, making this piece highly desirable among collectors of Japanese advertising, newspaper memorabilia, enamel signs, and Showa-era antiques.
