[ Vincent van Gogh Series]
『Sunflowers』1888
Van Gogh, a world-renowned painter, was fascinated by ukiyo-e prints, which were popular during the Edo period in Japan. We have exquisitely reproduced his paintings using the finest weaving techniques of Kyoto Nishijin Textiles. We have carefully reproduced his color gradations and paint touches. These Van Gogh paintings were produced by three excellent weavers who worked on Van Gogh, and only they could produce Van Gogh's subtle color expression. However, since the weavers are already elderly, we recommend that you purchase these textile works now.
Please decorate your room, living room, office, shop, etc. You will want to show off our textile works to your friends and guests. Create a space where you can enjoy the wonderful beauty of Nishijin textiles, a world-renowned traditional technique of Kyoto!

- Kyoto Kaho ~ Greetings ~ From Kyoto, the historic city that became the capital of Japan in 794, to everyone around the world. Kyoto Kaho introduces the intricate and beautiful traditional craft of Kyoto Nishijin textiles. Kyoto Nishijin textiles originated in the 5th and 6th centuries and established its foundations in the 15th century. In other words, Kyoto Nishijin textiles are one of Kyoto's leading traditional industries with a history of over 1,500 years, and were also presented to the emperor. Although kimonos are world famous, today most Japanese people no longer wear kimonos. With the decline in demand, Kyoto Nishijin textiles are facing a crisis of survival. Therefore, in order to keep this time-honored tradition alive, we have begun a new challenge. It is the creation of new value, not of "Kyoto Nishijin textiles that are beautiful to wear," but of "Kyoto Nishijin textiles that can be displayed and admired." By displaying our products in the rooms, living rooms, and studies where you relax in your daily life, the office where you spend a lot of time, and the rooms, stores, and facilities where you welcome guests, you can enjoy a unique and proud space. You will surely want to show off your special space decorated with our works to your guests. You will imagine your wonderful space where you can't help but invite your friends, colleagues, and customers. That space can be created with Kyoto Nishijin textiles, a traditional Japanese craft with a history of 1,500 years. We have meticulously reproduced the works of ukiyo-e artists who were active in Japan's Edo period with Kyoto Nishijin textiles. For example, Katsushika Hokusai and Sharaku, who have fans all over the world, Utagawa Hiroshige, who is famous for his masterpiece, Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido, and Kitagawa Utamaro, who painted portraits of beautiful women. We also produce Japanese Buddhist art with Kyoto Nishijin textiles. In addition, we have meticulously reproduced the works of famous overseas painters such as Van Gogh and Renoir with Kyoto Nishijin textiles. These works are woven with 4 to 9 times more delicacy than ordinary Nishijin textiles. The technique is a new technology worthy of a patent. In other words, our works can only be purchased at Kyoto Kaho. We use pure gold foil threads, pure silver foil threads, and platinum foil threads (in addition to the usual dyed threads) for these works, and their purity is over 999.9%. Our works are woven by skilled weavers over 70 days, with more than 20 specialized processes. The finished works are full of artistry, with unchanging luster and beautifully reproduced color gradations. We have also posted a 6-minute movie that summarizes the history of Kyoto Nishijin textiles and some of the weaving process, so please take a look. We hope that by decorating our works, which make use of tradition and artistry and utilize new creativity, you can create a space you can be proud of.
